David Hunt, Co-Owner/Director
David is an ex police officer with 15 years of service in Police Forces across the UK. His calm, steady and unfazeable character saw his career in the Police move, latterly, into Fire Arms armed response teams, bringing his cool head and clear thinking into play at times of crisis. David is the man to call when your world is falling apart within your damaged property. He takes control, calms things down, assesses the damage and gets the job done.
After his distinguished career in the Police, David bought into a Franchise Business dealing in Fire and Flood Restoration. Here he learned his trade and built a reputation with clients who would recommend him to others by word of mouth. “However the Franchise rules meant I couldn’t do that” says David “We were only allowed to deal with jobs that were issued from the Franchise Head Office, so I began to feel like I was letting people down by saying I was not allowed help them. My hands were tied by the rules of my franchise”. So, in 2013, David decided to quit the franchise and go out on his own with a business acquaintance and friend; Colin Macdonald as partners.
So Paradigm Reinstatements was formed. Why ‘Paradigm’ as a name? “It means a new way of looking at things, a ‘paradigm shift’ if you like, in this industry” says David. “Building companies and property owners sometimes over-scope jobs and try to get claims past the Loss Adjusters." He continues “This means that loss Adjusters are always on the lookout for over-scoping. This can adversely affect the trust between claimants and insurance companies. Unfortunately honest claimants can get caught up in this mistrust and delays can result, causing distress. We, at Paradigm, do not over-scope however we are 100% thorough with reinstatements, so both insurance companies and property owners have come to trust Paradigm with property damage projects”.
Colin MacDonald Co-Owner/Director
Colin is a highly experienced Insurance Company Loss Adjuster with over 15 years of experience in that professional role. Colin knows what insurance companies are looking for when claims are made against insurance policies. He knows the insurers attitudes to over-scoping a repair job and is wise to all the “tricks of the trade”.
